Latin text with facing Czech translation, introductory study and notes. This manuscript is the only one of the preserved non-anonymous treatises by Czech doctors which deals in greater detail with the wide problem of the letting of blood from a vein, part of which is also the examination of the blood. Apart from observation of the urine the blood was one of the most important means of medical diagnosis in the Middle Ages.
